The graphic design for “Lobster Chowder …and Other Stories” echoes the narrative and recipes in a rising star chef’s first cookbook. The text is both anecdotal and instructive in its modern interpretations through classic French techniques of vernacular New England and maritime Canadian dishes. The contemporary graphics, set in a distinctive old-style font, riff on classic page proportioning and typesetting techniques.
